Evaluating the long-term effects of individualized homeopathy on migraine-related disability: A prospective study
Afsana Hossain
Migraine is a chronic neurological condition that significantly impairs quality of life and daily functioning. This prospective study evaluates the long-term effects of individualized homeopathic treatments compared to conventional therapy on migraine-related disability. Over a 12-month period, 150 patients were recruited and randomized into two groups: homeopathy and conventional therapy. Disability was assessed using the Migraine Disability Assessment (MIDAS) questionnaire, and quality of life was measured using the Short Form-36 (SF-36) health survey. The results demonstrated comparable improvements in migraine-related disability in both groups, with additional quality-of-life enhancements observed in the homeopathy group. This study underscores the potential role of homeopathy as a complementary approach to managing migraines
